The Brand

Founded by Juliette Fournier and Richard Adamson, Hart + Hedi is a modern, independent, Australian Fragrance House producing high quality and unique scents for everyone.  Fragrance makes an indelible imprint on both heart and mind and we aim to capture those moments in time that live on as your fondest memories.

Using Australian native flora and carefully selected ingredients from around the world, our signature scents have been created by Richard and Juliette after years of research, dedication and many iterations.  

Hart + Hedi is a purpose driven project committed to supporting vulnerable women in Australia, with a percentage of profits to be donated to organisations delivering services to this community.

Everything Hart + Hedi creates is thoughtfully designed, made and packaged here in Australia.

Our six signature scents were created around very different concepts. Each concept is an occasion or place, real or imagined, that will evoke memories and emotions for the wearer.

Hedi Juliette's Grandmother

From Hedi's Garden

Hart + Hedi is a tribute to Juliette’s grandmother, Hedi (“Head-y").  During the 1940s she operated the town flower shop in Solothurn, Switzerland which was supplied by the family's own local flower farm.

Throughout her life, wherever she roamed, Hedi's garden was always her true happy place.

Juliette Fournier

Juliette discovered her passion for perfume later in her life and it has become integral to her - an extension of her personal style. After years of teaching, Juliette completed an Honours Degree in Design/Fashion and Textiles. She is drawn to all things relating to the senses, from music, to textured fabrics, art, unforgettable food and scent. Creating as a perfumer for Hart + Hedi has become a great love as there is always something new to discover and to play. Working with Australian ingredients has been an honour and privilege for her, as they are some of the finest in the world.

Richard Adamson

 Richard's career is a tapestry of diverse experiences, from his early days as a professional musician to his role as the founder of a renowned Australian brewery and distillery Young Henrys. Richard is an international sensory evaluation judge and teacher of aroma chemistry. His training as a distiller opened his mind to the world of essential oils and botanical extraction, sparking a fascination with the possibilities of scent. Proud of Australia’s rich heritage and the First Nation people’s custodianship of our unique flora and fauna, it is essential that Hart + Hedi reflects the place from which the fragrances are created.
